Former Manchester City defender Danny Mills has questioned the decision to name Liverpool coach Jugen Klopp as the Best FIFA Men's Coach of the Year instead of Pep Guardiola.
The Manchester City manager led his club Premier League title last season, as well as the FA and Carabao Cup.
On the other hand, Klopp’s team have won the Champions League triumph.
However, being asked who is better of the two coaches, Mills told
talkSPORT: "
Liverpool won the Champions League, which is sensational, but it’s a cup. Manchester City won the Premier League with the way they played and got 98 points. It’s difficult to argue because Liverpool went so close in the Premier League title and won the Champions League. Klopp was outstanding. But he’s also media-friendly, isn’t he? If that would have been Mourinho coming second and winning the Champions League, would he have got the vote? No chance! We don’t always judge people solely on footballing ability, a lot of it comes down to personality."
