Chelsea's newcomer ace Christopher Nkunku picked on a knee injury on Wednesday night, in their last pre-season game against Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
"The doctors are checking him," explained the Blues' manager Mauricio Pochettino, who thinks that it was a tackle from a Dortmund player who forced the 25-year-old, which "maybe" deserved a penalty.
The London Blues have ended their friendlies unbeaten, which served as a long-awaited performance after an all-time-low Premier League campaign last season.
"Hopefully it is not a big issue and that he can be quick with the team. We need a few days to assess him and until we get back to London it is difficult to know," added the Argentine head coach.
The forward suffered an early injury and only managed to play for slightly more than 20 minutes at Soldier Field. Mykhailo Mudryk took his place as a substitute and performed admirably.
