Everton man shares insights on what dressing room thinks ahead of imminent appeal verdict

Dwight McNeil has opened up that he and his teammates remain solely focused on their performance on the pitch amidst the imminent verdict on the points deduction.

Last week, Everton presented their arguments contesting the 10-point penalty imposed on them in October, awaiting the outcome of the three-day hearing in the coming days or weeks.

While the uncertainty persists, the Toffees are determined to secure points during this critical phase of the season. McNeil rightly asserts that the team's primary focus is to unite on the field and accumulate points.

Simultaneously, they await the imminent verdict, which holds equal significance for both players and supporters alike.

“What has happened off the pitch is something we can’t do anything about as players,” the 24-year-old claimed, as per the Liverpool Echo.

“What we can do is concentrate on performing every week, and we have been doing that.

The potential ramifications of the 10-point deduction loom large, as Sean Dyche's team face the threat of relegation if the penalty is upheld. Conversely, if the deduction is overturned, the burden of stress would be alleviated.

The ongoing case and the prospect of a second potential PSR charge are likely subjects of discussion at Finch Farm, reflecting the gravity of the situation for the club.
