Eurosport: Liverpool could pursue the most expensive player in his league

Liverpool could make a move for RB Salzburg defender Maximilian Wober, according to Eurosport. The centre-back became the most expensive player in the Austrian Bundesliga when Salzburg signed him for £10 million from Sevilla in the summer of 2019. Reds are currently facing an injury crisis, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez being out of action due to long-term injuries. And the report claims Jurgen Klopp's side could decide to bring the 22-year-old during the January transfer window, with Sporting Braga’s David Carmo and Sven Botman of Lille also being on their radar. Wober is former teammate of Takumi Minamino and has played against the Reds in the Champions League last season.
