France stand as the most recent European team to have secured the World Cup title, achieving this feat in 2018. Their performance in the 2022 World Cup has also been impressive, despite their loss to the Argentina national team in the tournament's final.

Under the guidance of Didier Deschamps, the French squad showcases a strong mentality, with a mix of experienced players and young talents incorporated to further enhance the national team's future prospects.

While Kylian Mbappe serves as the team's primary star, Olivier Giroud remains a valuable option for selection amid the rest of the squad members.

Germany, who lifted their fourth World Cup trophy a decade ago, now face challenging times. After Joachim Löw's departure, Hansi Flick took charge of the teams, while the team's poor form eventually led to his sacking.

Julian Nagelsmann will now be the main man to lead the national team in the Euro 2024.  Despite ongoing obstacles, the manager could rely on a mix of experienced players and promising talents, such as Jamal Musiala.

Germany, as the host nation, secured an automatic qualification for the Euro 2024 and aim to deliver their top performance on the pitch in the final stage of the tournament.

Portugal is displaying unwavering strength and continues to make a strong impression in the European Championship group stage.

They are currently dominating Group J with eight wins and are poised to secure two more victories en route to the next stage of the tournament.

Following their painful exit from the 2022 World Cup, Portugal have a new leader in manager Roberto Martinez. He relies on the assistance of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, along with star players like Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Bernardo Silva, and Ruben Dias, as they aim to achieve another successful result for the team.

Spain have enjoyed a significant era of dominance in European football, with luminaries like Fernando Torres, Xavi, and Andres Iniesta gracing the team during the golden years.

However, those days are now behind them, and Spain have faced a series of setbacks. The most recent blow came with their elimination from the 2022 World Cup, which led to the departure of manager Luis Enrique. Under the leadership of Luis de la Fuente, the former champions of Euro 2008 and Euro 2012 are aiming to rekindle the glory days of the national team.

In the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Spain has shown impressive form, securing five victories and suffering just one defeat. They currently lead Group A with 15 points.

6. Belgium

Belgium have encountered disappointments, including quarter-final exits in 2016 and 2020, along with underwhelming World Cup performances.

Under the leadership of Domenico Tedesco, the team will rely on experienced players like Jan Vertonghen, Kevin De Bruyne, and Romelu Lukaku. Additionally, they boast emerging talents such as Johan Bakayoko and Jérémy Doku to contribute to their quest for positive results.

Although the Belgian national team isn't the top contender to win the tournament, Tedesco's squad remains an unpredictable and competitive force with the potential for success.

7. Scotland

Scotland are delivering outstanding performances in the ongoing Euro qualifiers. They have already guaranteed their spot in the next stage of the tournament, occupying the second position in Group A, just behind Spain.

A key figure in their success is Manchester United's Scott McTominay, who has undergone a remarkable transformation in his performance and is in exceptional form, making significant contributions to his national team.

8. Turkiye

Turkiye had a strong period in the 2000s, with achievements like a World Cup bronze in 2002 and a third-place finish in Euro 2008. However, their performance since then has been marked by disappointments.

Even the present team has some uncertainties, but their qualification suggests progress. In the last Euro 2020, they performed poorly, losing all three group stage matches, conceding eight goals, and scoring just once, making it the worst record in the tournament.

This time, Turkey are the leaders in Group D with five wins, one draw and one defeat. This result has seen Vincenzo Montella's side securing their place in the next stage of the tournament.

9. Austria

Austria have improved their European Championship performance, having qualified for the last three consecutive tournaments. In Euro 2020, they reached the knockout stage for the first time, a significant step forward from their earlier group stage exits in 2008 and 2016.

Although they were eliminated by eventual champions Italy in extra time at Wembley, Austria are now under the guidance of former Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick and aim to go further in the competition.

The national team has secured their place in the Euro 2024 as they are currently standing in second place in Group F with five wins, one draw, and one defeat.

10. Hungary

Since failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, Hungary have passed a long path of improvement. They are unbeaten since a Nations League defeat to Italy in September of the previous year under the guidance of Marco Rossi.

The team have shown good quality in the European Championship qualifiers and have already secured their place in the next stage of the tournament, leading Group G ahead of Serbia.
