Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag revealed that the final decision regarding Mason Greenwood's future lies with the club.
"It's a club decision and of course, I shared my opinions but it's a club decision and we all have to accept that," said the Dutchman. In addition, he avoided sharing his opinion on whether he wants the forward back at Old Trafford, or not.
Greenwood has not featured for Manchester United since January 2022 when he faced arrest on suspicion of rape and assault. Subsequently, he faced further arrest on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
In October 2022, he was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Nevertheless, in February of the following year, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges due to the withdrawal of a key witness and the emergence of new evidence, which made conviction unlikely.
