"Easy for me...": James Maddison opens up on Tottenham transfer

James Maddison completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur from Leicester City earlier this summer, with a fee worth of £40 million.

His arrival has been widely regarded as one of the standout signings of the summer transfer window.

Since joining the Spurs, the 26-year-old wasted no time making an impact. This was particularly important following the departure of their record-breaking striker Harry Kane, who moved to Bayern Munich prior to the start of the season.

The England international's contributions have been immediate and impressive, with two goals and two assists in his first four games. He has undeniably established himself as one of the Premier League's most in-form playmakers.

Currently, the midfielder is away on international duty with Gareth Southgate's England national team. He is likely hopeful that his outstanding performances in domestic competitions will secure him a place in the starting lineup for England's upcoming EUROs qualifiers against Ukraine and Scotland.

Speaking to media recently, quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Maddison has opened up on his decision to make a move to North London.

“It’s been easy for me to join Spurs and be myself. It’s a brilliant club, the supporters have made me feel so welcome and loved already.

“I still feel like they’ve got so much more to see of me. It’s quite exciting times for us.”
