Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has praised his teammate Gabriel Jesus for his performance in the Premier League match against Manchester United, which took place at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Sunday.
Odegaard expressed his admiration for Gabriel Jesus on Sky Sports, highlighting the Brazilian's contribution in the closing stages of the game.
Manchester United took the lead in the 27th minute through England's Marcus Rashford. However, Odegaard quickly responded with an equalizer just one minute later. In a dramatic turn of events, England's Declan Rice found the net in the sixth minute of injury time to give the home team a 2-1 lead.
Then, in the 11th minute of injury time, Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus extended Arsenal's lead to 3-1. This came after he entered the pitch as a substitute for Eddie Nketiah in the 76th minute. Fabio Vieira provided an excellent pass to set up Jesus, who then displayed composure to score past Manchester United's goalkeeper, Andre Onana. Odegaard was particularly impressed by this moment.
“It was mad," he said, via HITC.
“I don’t know what happened but Gabi [Jesus] did so well in the end and scored a great goal and we got the win," Odegaard added.
