Mason Mount's medicals for Manchester United are expected to take place early next week, at the beginning of July, as per The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
Erik ten Hag's side saw three bids rejected until agreeing on a £55 million with £5m add-ons fee for Mason Mount. Initially, Chelsea wanted a £70 million plus £10 million add-ons for their homegrown talent.
The 24-year-old has been granted permission to undergo a medical examination and conclude negotiations on personal terms, as both clubs prepare to finalize the remaining paperwork. At Old Trafford, the Englishman will sign a contract that extends until 2028, and there will also be an option to extend for an additional year.
Having spent his whole career at Stamford Bridge, starting from Chelsea Academy, Mount has established himself in the higher ranks of the club alongside teammates Reece James and Conor Gallagher. The Blues' incoming coach Mauricio Pochettino will look to replace their talented midfielder with a shortlist of players already identified by the London club.
