Pep Guardiola has named two Liverpool players that caused Manchester City problems in yesterday's game. The Spanish boss admits his side "could not control" full-backs Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield.
Citizens celebrated a 4 - 1 win over the Reds, with Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden scoring the winning goals for their team. However, Liverpool started the game in better form and were more likely to score early on.
And Guardiola has admitted he had to make changes due to the problems that Robertson and Alexander-Arnold were causing.
“After the first 20 minutes where we could not control the width of Robertson and Alexander-Arnold we adjusted our set-up and after the quality of our players did the rest," he said on
Sky Sports.
