Chelsea's co-owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, have announced that they will maintain season ticket prices for the 2023-24 season at their current level in an attempt to placate fans following a very disappointing debut season for the club.
Chelsea are currently sitting in 11th place in the Premier League table with only four games remaining, and the team's performances and results have been unsatisfactory for much of the campaign.
According to the club statement, "The board has decided to freeze GA season tickets for the 2023/24 season", due to the disappointing season and the rise in cost of living among their supporters.
“This season has not produced the results that any of us want. We know what we are working towards, but equally we know that will require hard work, determination and commitment. We all want to see Chelsea back where we belong and to share many more winning moments together at Stamford Bridge," added the statement.
The Chelsea Supporters' Trust has expressed their gratitude to Mr. Boehly and the board for prioritizing the fans by freezing season ticket prices. The club's commitment to making their supporters proud is reflected in this decision, although the cost of general admission tickets remains undetermined as multiple factors will be considered.
