Chelsea are reportedly targeting Brighton midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister.
The 24-year-old, who recently became World Cup Champions with Argentina, has drawn interest from top teams following his outstanding performances in the tournament.
According to several reports, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are in a race to get the player's signature, as his recent outstanding form will open the doors of the biggest European clubs sooner or later.
Meanwhile, as per journalist Gaston Edul, Graham Potter's side has entered the battle for the Argentine and are set to be leading the competition.
"There are three teams interested in Alexis Mac Allister: Chelsea, Arsenal and Atlético de Madrid (in that order). It is difficult for him to leave Brighton in this transfer market. He can only leave if the club wants to sell him and its intention is to retain him. His departure may take place in June." wrote the journalist on his Twitter accout.
The Blues are currently prioritizing adding a new midfielder during the January transfer window as Jorginho and N'Golo Kante's deals expire at the end of the season and there are no ongoing talks as of now.
