Chelsea have reached out to Ajax to show their desire to sign attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
While an official offer has not been presented to the Dutch club, initial discussions have commenced, as The Athletic journalist David Ornstein reported.
The Ghana international is one of several options under consideration by the Blues, and they are close to reaching a personal agreement with the 22-year-old.
Currently contracted with the Eredivisie team until 2025, Kudus declined a one-year extension in April, indicating his eagerness to depart from the Johan Cruyff Arena.
