Cesc Fabregas declares struggling Chelsea star among world's best youngsters at his former club

Insights from former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas shed light on Moises Caicedo's journey from Brighton to Chelsea and the hurdles he's encountered adapting to life at Stamford Bridge.

Despite the Ecuadorian's promising displays at Brighton, his transition to West London has been met with a blend of successes and setbacks, prompting questions about Mauricio Pochettino's managerial style and the team's overall performance.

Fabregas recognizes the 22-year-old's talent and impact with the Seagulls, praising him as one of the world's top young talents during his tenure at the club.

However, the midfielder's adjustment to the Blues hasn't been seamless, evident in his inconsistent performances.

The former Spain international's star suggests that the midfielder challenges at Stamford Bridge might stem from various factors, including the tactical approach implemented by Pochettino and the team's formation.

Despite the abundance of talent within the squad, the Argentine manager has yet to pinpoint the optimal lineup and system to fully exploit the players' capabilities.

“I do think Mauricio is a really good coach but, yeah, it still feels like they haven’t found their eleven, they still haven’t found their best formation, or the one that suits best the players they’ve got at the moment. Let’s not get away from the point that there’s a lot of quality.

“Yes, there’s physicality, yes, they went for speed, they went for strength but they do have a lot of quality in midfield. [Moises] Caicedo was a top player for Brighton, he was one of the best young players at the World Cup, [Enzo] Fernandez.” the former Premier League star stated via live on BBC:
