Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand expresses admiration for the club's recent acquisition, Omar Berrada, from arch-rivals Manchester City.
Berrada, now appointed as the new chief executive officer for United, is considered a significant addition, having previously held esteemed roles at City and Barcelona.
The recruitment of Berrada marks the first substantial move following Ineos chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe's £1.25 billion deal for a minority stake in the club from the Glazer family.
Ferdinand lauds the Moroccan as the Red Devils "best January signing," citing the astonishment of some of the reigning Premier League champions' personnel at losing him.
"I spoke to some guys who were at Manchester City. They cannot believe we have got him.
"They think he has done so much in the game at different levels and has been successful and that it is a really good, sharp signing for us. I think this could potentially be one of our best January signings. In the current climate, we are in now, especially." added the former England international while speaking on FIVE.
