Brighton star Moisés Caicedo has opened up on his failed transfer to Arsenal, claiming there would be more opportunities for him to leave American Express Community Stadium.
The Seagulls' man has been heavily linked with the move to the Gunners during the January transfer window. Despite the Premier League giants' trials, the two sides didn't reach an agreement over the move which saw Caicedo staying at his current team.
The midfielder has now broken the silence on his potential transfer that could happen a few months ago, telling Telegraph Football:
“I was really close to joining Arsenal, so I suffered a lot. I liked them because they have young, talented players & stars but they always have that mindset of wanting more.”
After the failed move, Caicedo still believes he will have the chance to continue his career in another elite team in the future.
“I’m sure I'm going to have many more opportunities [to join another club]. That’s why I continue to do things well," he added.
