After being on PSG's and Barcelona's radar for several months, Bernardo Silva has finally verbally agreed on a deal extension with Manchester City.
The treble winners were even more unlikely to let go of their Portuguese star after Kevin De Bruyne sustained a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for several months. Pep Guardiola's side are expecting Silva to sign the new deal by the end of next week, as per Fabrizio Romano.
As the transfer expert informs, the new contract will be valid until 2026. When questioned about the potential exits of Silva and Walker, Guardiola acknowledged the considerable challenge of finding suitable replacements. He confirmed their strong commitment to retaining both players, and it seems that their efforts in this regard have been successful.
The Citizens are looking to defend their triple title in this season, and have already strengthened their squad with new signings Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic.
