Ben White hits social media following England's EURO 2020 defeat. Kalvin Phillips responds

England suffered a EURO 2020 final defeat to Italy on penalties. The Three Lions opened the scoring just two minutes into the game as Luke Shaw scored. However, in the second half, Leonardo Bonucci equalized and the game went to the extra-time. After the extra time, the score stayed the same (1-1) and the game was decided on penalties. Italy won 3-2 as Jorginho and Andrea Belotti missed from Italy, meanwhile, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka missed from the Three Lions. Following the game, Ben White took to Instagram to send a message. He posted a picture along with the message, which reads: "What to say...gutted is an understatement. I have never been as proud of a group of people as I have with this lot. "To spend six weeks with them has been the best time of my short career and I’ve loved every minute of it. "All I can say is thank you for all your support and I promise you we will come back stronger and even better. This is just the start!" Kalvin Phillips, who shared a locker room with White at Leeds United, responded in the comments section with a heart emoji. White played for Leeds on loan from Brighton during the 2019-20 season.   Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
