While the possibility of Manchester United securing the signing of Harry Kane may seem distant, it hasn't deterred them from entering the race to pursue the Tottenham captain.
The star striker from Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly keen on leaving White Hart Lane this summer, with Bayern Munich emerging as the frontrunners to land him. One disadvantage for Tuchel's side is Kane's career aspirations that do not align with the prospect of making a move to the Bundesliga. With a legendary tally of 213 Premier League goals in 320 appearances, the 29-year-old's long-standing goal is to surpass Alan Shaerer's record of 260 goals in the prime English league.
Erik ten Hag has always regarded Kane as a top target and is willing to explore all options to secure his services, even if it means employing creative approaches. The key obstacle in the entire situation appears to be Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, who faces a choice between selling the club captain now for a fee of around £100 million or taking a high-risk gamble, hoping the striker won't leave for free at the end of the 2023/24 season.
As per the Independent, United's manager is open to including England international Jadon Sancho as part of a potential deal to bring Kane to Old Trafford. While Tottenham's response to the proposal remains limited, it doesn't necessarily indicate the end of negotiations. The Red Devils are currently in a dire need of a high-quality striker.
