Arteta won’t become Arsenal new manager

According to Marca, Arsenal chief director Ivan Gazidis and shareholder Stan Kroenke have decided to appoint new head coach with a background and experience. This means Mikel Arteta, Pep Guardiola assistant in Manchester City, won’t replace Arsene Wenger. Arteta was the top choice to become Gunners new coach, but the latest decision of Kroenke and Gazidis made such appointment impossible. Unai Emery, meanwhile, had talks with Arsenal representatives. As Carlo Ancelotti may return to Italy, Basque specialist remains the only candidate to take the ‘Arsenal job’.
