Arsenal to battle Barcelona for Manchester City defender

Arsenal are reportedly set to battle Barcelona for Manchester City defender Eric Garcia's signature. The 21-year-old is set to leave City at the end of the season when his contract expires. Garcia turned down a new deal at the start of this term as he is keen to move on, and the preferred destination is Barcelona. According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is also keen on the youngster.
