Arsenal are interested in signing a striker, with Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin heavily linked.
Mikel Arteta's side are in need of a centre-forward with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future remaining uncertain whilst out of contract frontmen Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are both in the final six months of their contracts at the club.
But Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has claimed that there is 'no way' Arsenal sign Calvert-Lewin this month.
When asked about the 24-year-old making a move to the north London club, Ferdinand told his
Vibe with Five YouTube channel:
"There’s no way.
"I don’t think Everton let Calvert-Lewin go in this window, no chance. He’s one of the crown jewels. No way!"
Calvert-Lewin is under contract with the Toffees until 2025, while the
Daily Mail identified his transfer fee to be upwards of around £60million.
