Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba, according to reports in Spain.
According to French outlet TF1 Saint-Etienne will sell to Arsenal, with the deal set to be worth £27million.
Emery will be pleased to sign Saliba, who is highly rated in France and was also a target of Tottenham’s.
But a loan move is more possible as Saint-Etienne president Roland Romeyer has revealed the player is keen on remaining in Ligue 1 for another campaign.
The 18-year-old enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season in Ligue 1, making 16 appearances and becoming a regular in the side towards the end of the season, while generating interest from a number of Europe's top sides - Arsenal included.
