According to the latest reports Arsenal are planning to sell Shkodran Mustafi, who joined the Gunners from Valencia in 2016 in a £35m deal.
After another clamitious display against Manchester City, Unai Emery has run out of patience with Mustafi.
The Spaniard is reportedly ready to cut his losses and sell the 26-year-old once the season finishes.
And the news comes as music to the ears of long-suffering Arsenal fans who want Mustafi to leave the club.
One Gooner took to Twitter, writing: “I think the Telegraph have been paying attention to my dreams!”
“I’ve literally been waiting for this news for YEARS,” added another.
A third had just subjected themselves to a whole Twitter video thread dedicated Mustafi’s worst mistakes.
He wrote: “Just watched a thread on Shkodran Mustafi, what a terrible player. Day ruined.”
Mustafi won the World Cup in 2014, but has not been picked since 2017.
