Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has asked club chiefs to sign Isco from Real Madrid this January, according to reports. Isco is linked with a move away from the Spanish capital after falling out of favour under Zinedine Zidane.
The 28-year-old has started just three of Real's La Liga matches so far this season and is yet to complete 90 minutes.
And according to Spanish outlet
Defensa Central, Arteta has asked for the signing of Isco in January. The Gunners initially want to sign the midfielder on a loan deal, with the option to make it permanent next summer.
The report claims there is yet to be an offer from Arsenal, who already have Dani Ceballos on loan from the Bernabeu. Isco is not happy with his game time at Real and wants to leave at some point this season, whether that be in January or at the end of the campaign.
Since joining Real Madrid back in 2013, he has scored 51 goals in 314 appearances for Los Blancos, winning two La Liga titles, four Champions Leagues, four FIFA Club World Cups, three UEFA Super Cups and the Copa del Rey.
