Armenia national team coach Petrosyan: "Mkhitaryan had problems with Jose Mourinho"

Armenian national football team head coach Artur Petrosyan spoke about Henrikh Mkhitaryan's transfer to Arsenal.

In his opinion, the Armenian midfielder had problems with United boss Jose Mourinho, and now the pressure on him won't be so big in his new club. "I'm happy that he left. I was nervous because Mourinho didn't give Mkhitaryan a chance to play. Meanwhile, under Arsen Wenger, he will play a better game. We are very happy that Micki is in Arsenal now because his game style is matches with the club," said Petrosyan. The coach believes that Mkhitaryan was one of the best players in the Premier League, but playing with Arsen Wenger's lead he will become even stronger. "Of course I wasn't happy with Mourinho's decision, but that's his team, and he knows what he wants. I was sorry that our player was missing in the last games. Red Devil's fans love him, which means he has done something for the team, " the coach added. Petrosyan also added that Mkhitaryan will join his national team-mates in March for a friendly match with Lithuania. "He's going to play for national team. He wants to play, even when he plays 2 games a week at the club. Even when I say that he will play only one half, Mkhitaryan wants to play the whole game".
