Alexander Isak may have now named his next preferred club amid Arsenal links

Arsenal have been recently presented with a new opportunity to pursue Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak. However, the player's latest comments may refer to his preferred destination that goes far from any Premier League club.

Newcastle United face substantial financial setbacks, having disclosed a pre-tax loss of £73.4 million in their recent financial reports. Despite a 39 percent increase in revenue to £250 million, the club attributes these losses to significant spending in the transfer market.

High-profile acquisitions such as Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes, Tino Livramento, and potential permanent deals like Lewis Hall have contributed to Newcastle's financial struggles. To address Financial Fair Play (FFP) and the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR), the club may need to explore player sales in the future.

Isak could also be among the players to decide on potential departure amid transfer links. While Arsenal show strong interest, in a recent interview, the player hinted at his next preferred destination, stating:

"The Bernabéu is probably my favourite stadium to play at, apart from St. James' Park."

This revelation adds an intriguing layer to the transfer saga, suggesting that Isak may have identified Real Madrid as his next preferred club, potentially steering away from the previously rumored move to Arsenal.
