Alan Shearer claims one Manchester City player put in a "big shift" in Nottingham Forest win

Alan Shearer has shared his high praise for Manchester City star Phil Foden, claiming the attacker played a key role in the club's recent win over Nottingham Forest. 

Foden opened the score for his side in the 7th minute of the clash, with Erling Haaland marking his name on the scoresheet as well seven minutes later. 

The Citizens' star Rodri was sent off in the 46th minute of the game, while Foden did his best to help the team to keep their winning position with a 10-man squad. 

Shearer was impressed by the England international's display and included him in his Premier League Team of the Week. 

“Took his goal superbly and put in a big shift after Man City were reduced to 10 men," the pundit wrote as he explained his choice.
