In their next Premier League clash against Sheffield United, Arsenal will play without Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus who join the list of injured Gunners, including Jurrien Timber.
After being sidelined for six weeks due to a groin injury, the Ghanaian midfielder made a return just before the October international break. However, he encountered another muscle injury during a training session at London Colney on Monday, which led to his absence from the team's midweek match in Seville, and he didn't travel with the squad.
Jesus, on the other hand, is facing an absence of "several weeks," as confirmed by Mikel Arteta. The Brazil international had to leave the pitch due to what seemed to be a hamstring issue during Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday night. In that game, he not only scored the winning goal but also provided an assist.
Due to a mounting list of injuries, the Arsenal boss is urging the Premier League to expand the size of their squads.
“The laws will change and probably our capacity to do things during games will change as well. We will have to adapt, for sure,” said the Spanish head coach.
