What Emery said ahead of the crucial clash against Valencia: Press Conference

Arsenal will aim to use their best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League when they host Valencia in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals. Ahead of the game, Arsenal boss Unai Emery has spoken out to the press. It has been reported earlier today, that Aaron Ramsey will miss the remainder of the season. Emery has confirmed that Ramsey has played his last game for Arsenal: “I spoke with him yesterday and he feels Arsenal and wants to enjoy the last matches. We cannot use him. We have players but really he was in a good moment when he got his injury. For me, it’s a good experience with him. His heart is red. I want to enjoy with him. I want to do something important to him. He is not on the pitch but he is with us.” The Spaniard well acquainted with Arsenal's semi-final opponents, Valencia, who he managed between 2008 and 2012. “Our focus is now on the first leg but also next week in the second leg. Also in the Premier League with possibilities to be in the top four. The players are very focused on that. We need to use each moment for all our possibilities,” said Emery. Emery is a specialist in Europe's second-tier competition, winning it three times when at Sevilla. “It’s the present [that counts]. I want to create a history with Arsenal. One is with the Champions League and two is with the Europa League. We need to create a big atmosphere at the Emirates and be with our supporters tomorrow night against Valencia,” said Emery. Emery has also spoken out Mesut Ozil: “We have a good 20 players. We change [formations] before for injuries and we won. For example Ramsey, Nacho, Mesut but we won and we lost with the same players. At the moment we are in the semi-final but his injury is not ok for the day [Europa League final in Baku]. He is with us and he feels Arsenal. Yes [he is sad]. We spoke about the possibility to do something important. You need to play 90 minutes knowing you have to play another 90 minutes. You can win not conceding a goal is good. We need to be clever in our minds but we want to win.” The game will kick-off on Thursday, May 2 in 8:00 pm BST.
