Edwin van der Sar confirms Manchester United's interest in Donny van de Beek

Ajax CEO and former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has confirmed the Red Devils interest in Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, in an interview with NOS. Van de Beek announced himself as one of the most exciting talents in the world, with his performances during his side's run to the Champions League semi-finals last year. “It’s clear that clubs like Real Madrid & Manchester United are showing interest in Donny van de Beek," said the veteran goalkeeper when asked about his former club's interest in the player.  (via @TheEuropeanLad) Daily Mail claims Real Madrid were preparing to offer £49m. United want to hijack Real Madrid's transfer swoop for the 23-year-old, however, they will offer Ajax £13million less than Los Blancos. Van der Sar has admitted, they will not lower their asking prices for the players.  “Changing the price-tag of our players? I don’t see this changing. It’s not like we are putting everyone up for sale now. We know that our players are ambitious and they want to take the next step to a greater league, but only to the conditions Ajax ask for," the goalkeeper said.
