Edu could sign new “Gabriel Martinelli” for Arsenal. The Gunners are reportedly interested in Sao Paulo striker Brenner. The player have been given another welcome bonus with news over his passport. Brenner owns an Italian passport, meaning that he will not require to obtain a work permit to move to the Premier League.
Arsenal transfer chief is currently on the lookout for another striker as they look to bolster their struggling front line. Brenner’s contract in his homeland of Brazil runs out in 2022. However, there is a £45million release clause in the deal.
Sao Paulo will be prepared to accept around half of that amount, as they look to deal with the financial impact of Covid-19. Brenner has 17 goals in his last 27 games for Sao Paulo.
