Edu confirms approaches for Arsenal player – "There are many teams calling me"

Arsenal director football Edu has confirmed approaches for Arsenal player Lucas Torreira, who is currently spending his loan spell at Atletico Madrid. The Uruguay international's future at the Spanish capital is uncertain and there have been several approaches for his transfer in the January transfer window. “The situation is very simple. Arsenal are concerned about Torreira, his happiness, that he plays and that he’s well. We want to know about him, how he feels and, later, of course, know what Atletico think,” Edu told AS. “For us, Lucas and his happiness is the most important thing. If everyone is happy, we will continue like this, if Lucas is not well, we will seek a change because there are many teams that are calling me to ask about the player’s situation.” Lucas Torreira left Arsenal in the summer. He has only made 13 appearances for Atletico Madrid so far. Valencia have already approved his arrival, and Torreira himself is keen on the move, as they’re his favourite option. Other clubs who reportedly want him include the likes of Lazio, Fiorentina and Torino.
