Edouard Mendy thinks Chelsea fans will have to wait until next season to see the very best of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.
The two German forwards joined Chelsea in the beginning of the current season, however, not everything went well for them.
The duo have struggled to show their best for the Blues, however, their keeper Mendy, who was also signed last summer, praised the German duo and made a bold prediction ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
"They are really good players," Mendy told Chelsea's
club website.
"They are young players and it is the first time that they have moved to another country.
"I think they needed a couple of months to adjust and understand the Premier League but I see them every day and I know how good they are.
"I am happy for them. They showed their qualities on the pitch.
"Next season, 100%, we will see the best of Timo [Werner] and Kai [Havertz]. Even this year, we have enjoyed their good levels of performance and they are important for us.
"A game like Saturday is really good for their confidence."
