Eddie Jordan makes F1 title prediction after Singapore Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton has already won the F1 Drivers’ World Championship, claims former team boss Eddie Jordan.
"It's over," he said on Channel 4.
"Today was a big dagger in the heart of Ferrari, it was shocking.
"They didn't get it right, their strategy was shocking."
Mercedes driver Hamilton was pleased with the win, praising his team for their efforts.
But not before making a reference to LA Lakers star LeBron James.
“Yesterday [Saturday] was obviously the layup," he said.
“And today was the dunk - King James!
"Coming here and knowing the performance of Red Bulls - if you look at the history, they have always been on the first two rows for probably the last 10 years, or at least the last eight.
"And the Ferraris, at least the last five or six years, have been right there as well.
“They had picked up their pace and we knew that they would be spectacular here this weekend and so it was going to take something quite special for us to leapfrog them.
"I know that not a single member of the hierarchy, like James Vowles or Toto (Wolff) probably, really didn't think that was possible yesterday - maybe more of them.
"So it was really quite a monumental moment for us as a team."
Lewis Hamilton will now enjoy some downtime before preparing himself for the Russian Grand Prix on September 30.
