“A disaster” - Liverpool hero blasts VAR after Wolves controversy

Daniel Agger has offered a blunt verdict on Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology after the controversy surrounding its use over the weekend. Sadio Mane put Liverpool ahead in the 42nd minute against Wolves, the goal awarded after consultation with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) after it had originally been ruled out for handball in the build-up. Pedro Neto thought he had equalised for Wolves on the stroke of half-time but his effort was disallowed by the VAR after Jonny was adjudged to be offside. "I have been fortunate enough to play the lovely game of football without VAR," Ager tweeted. "What it has become is after my opinion a disaster. (Even though it helped my team today). Just play the f...... game!⚽️#var." Source- Birminghammail
