Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov thinks Liverpool’s defence will face a difficult task keeping tabs on the threat posed by Edinson Cavani. On Sunday, Liverpool and Manchester United will play a deciding game in the Premier League.
United leapfrogged their rivals on Tuesday to go top of the Premier League table. Given Liverpool’s indifferent form and question marks over Joel Matip’s fitness, coupled with United’s new-found status as league leaders, both sides would perhaps each be satisfied to settle for a point.
“I think it’s going to be an even game, both teams have got a strong attacking force with very quick players upfront in [Mohamed] Salah, [Sadio] Mane, [Anthony] Martial and [Marcus] Rashford,” Berbatov said (via MEN).
“I think if Cavani is going to play he has that experience and intelligence to know how to unlock a defence like Liverpool and he can be a big weapon. If [Paul] Pogba continues like he did in the last game, with that desire to get up and down the pitch with his big strides, technique and vision, then he will also cause problems.”
