Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has insisted there is “no problem” between himself and Jurgen Klopp, despite ignoring the Liverpool boss’ attempts to shake hands after the final whistle of the Champions League game on Tuesday.
The Reds beat the La Liga club 3 – 2, with Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita scoring the winning goals for their team.
Simeone’s side could have awarded a penalty after Diogo Jota was adjudged to have pushed Jose Maria Gimenez. However, the VAR decision was in favor of the Premier League giants, which made the Argentine boss furious, having already seen Antoine Griezmann being sent off after the incident with Roberto Firmino.
“When I’m angry, I respect the situation,” he told reporters in a post-match conference.
“I have no problem, I just tend to do that when we lose and I’m not happy.”
