Jamie Carragher has claimed that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was trying to target Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney on SaturdayArsenal suffered a 1-0 away defeat on Saturday against Man City at the Etihad Stadium. Raheem Sterling scored the only goal to earn the hosts three points. Carragher believes that Guardiola planned to isolate Arsenal full-back, Tierney, against skilful right-winger Riyad Mahrez during the match. “When I was watching the game it felt like Pep Guardiola was desperately trying to expose Tierney and Mahrez,” Carragher told Sky Sports’ Main Event channel. The 23-year-old wasn’t quite able to get to grips with left-footer Mahrez and it was a constant battle for him with his back to goal.
