Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 2: Predictions from the boxing world

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will finally meet again in one of the biggest heavyweight title fights in recent years. In December 2018, just six months after his comeback to the ring, Fury stepped up to face Wilder in a fight, which lasted 12 rounds.  In front of a crowd of 17,698 at the Staples Center, Wilder and Fury fought a split decision draw. There is no consensus opinion when it comes to predictions for Saturday’s rematch between the pair. Carl Froch
I just think it can go either way, everyone’s gonna say Wilder by knockout or Fury by points. What’s gonna actually happen? I’m gonna say Fury points. Because he was ill-prepared for their first fight, he fought two nobodies, then he got in with Wilder and he did what he did. Now he’s had a bit more time, but you just never know because Wilder’s such a monster puncher.
Mikey Garcia
I think Wilder wins. He will be more aggressive this time around than the first time, early on. I think he’s got the confidence higher now. I think he’s gonna put on more pressure, step on the gas earlier. I’m expecting him to have learned from the last fight with Ortiz and the fight with Fury.
Claressa Shields
Hopefully Wilder by KO. I need Wilder to throw, just in case, because if it goes 12 rounds, Tyson Fury’s gonna win. If Wilder can get the knockout, as we all know he can, he’ll win.”
Billy Joe Saunders
I think he needs to be on his game. As long as he’s fit he just boxes his head off, doesn’t he? That’s all he needs to do, jab, move, one-two, move. Three or four rounds, then break him down. I think he’s looking a bit heavier for this fight so I should think that he’s probably gonna start planting his feet when Wilder gets tired. As long as he’s fit Wilder ain’t got a hope in hell.”
Devin Haney
The boxer has always shown to beat the puncher. Every now and then, the puncher lands, catches the boxer and knocks him out. But that’s very rare. When you have the ring IQ, the boxing ability, they’ve been shown to win. In Wilder’s case, he’s just an astronomical puncher, all it takes is a very little punch. Fury was beating him the whole fight until the last few rounds, but it’s really hard to go against him”

I’m favouring Tyson Fury to win because he has the boxing skill. When Tyson Fury fought him last time, he had been out of the ring for three years and went on the fast lane. He has come back in the slow lane, has got the rust out of his body. He has put on more weight because the heavier he is, the better he is. He has been doing some strength training and his body looks very, very good, his mind looks good… He looks good to me Tyson Fury. I wouldn’t be surprised if he boxed his ears off, but one punch could change it all.”
Ryan Garcia
I think I got Wilder. I can’t really have a clear winner. Fury’s got on skills. Wilder’s a crazy fighter, but he knows what he’s doing in there.
