Before becoming a Barcelona player, Arsenal loanee Denis Suarez has played for Barcelona B from 2013 to 2015 having joined from Manchester City.
The midfielder has admitted that he didn't have to think twice before making his choice to join Barcelona.
“I was at Celta, who were in the second division. It was a bad time for them and they needed to sell players," said Suarez.
“I decided to accept the move for me and for the good of Celta, who needed the money. That’s how it happened.
“I spent my whole career at Celta, until I got to youth level and joined Manchester City. I was 17 when I went to Manchester and then made my first-team debut in the cup at the age of 18.
“I think that was the biggest challenge - to make my debut at such a young age in a Manchester City side packed with stars, in a country where the football is so physical.
“I was just a kid but that was the first step. I’m not going to deny it. I always wanted to play for Barca.
“The opportunity came up to play for Barcelona, who were offering me the chance to spend one year with the youth team and then the next three with the first team. I didn’t have to think twice.”
Suarez joined Arsenal from Barcelona on a loan deal until the end of the season in January and has yet to make a start for the Gunners.
