Arsenal player Denis Suarez has confirmed he has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old joined the Gunners on-loan from Barcelona in January but has found his time at the Emirates shortened by a groin complaint.
Suarez failed to make a single start for the club and has played just 67 minutes in the Premier League.
The Spaniard, who is paid £55,000 per week by the Gunners and has cost the club £660,000 since signing, revealed the news in a statement on Twitter.
"I will not be able to play again this season," said Suarez. "Some issues with my groin have made things tough since the game against BATE in the Europa League in February and now they have forced me to stop training altogether. I am sorry for all the effort and sacrifice made to come to Arsenal hasn't come to fruition as hoped and you can't even imagine how angry I am about it, but health comes first."
