"Definitely": Alan Shearer makes claim about Premier League player Manchester City reportedly want

Alan Shearer says the clubs will want Southampton star Danny Ings amid reported interest from Manchester City. The Athletic reported in February that City have eyed the 28-year-old. Now as Sergio Aguero is set to leave the club at the end of the season, Pep Guardiola's side will be looking to sign a new striker during the summer transfer window. Shearer is a big fan of Ings and he believes the Saints' attacker will attract a number of clubs. “I am pretty sure that there will be enquiries for him. I like him. I think he does the basics very well," former Newcastle man said about Ings on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One. “He is a goalscorer, not afraid to keep getting in there. He loves running the channel and defenders hate that, so there will definitely be enquires for him.”
