David Seaman agrees with Edu about Mikel Arteta as Arsenal are tipped to make change

Arsenal legend David Seaman believes Mikel Arteta must remain the Gunners' manager. Seaman as he has jumped to the defence of the Spaniard who recently celebrated the first anniversary of his appointment. Despite the recent Premier League results of the club, Seaman is adamant that Arteta is the right man for the job. The club legend has urged the board to back the Spanish tactician in the transfer market to change the team's fortunes. "I like how he speaks, and my (Arsenal) friends give me great reports of what he does at the training ground," Seaman told the PA news agency. "For me, he needs to stay and the club need to back him in getting the players he wants. At the moment, there are a few players at Arsenal that maybe need to leave to create funds to get better players." Seaman's assessment of Arteta proves that he agrees with Arsenal technical director Edu after he stated last week that the club will have a "beautiful future" under the Spaniard. "Mikel is doing a great job, he’s doing really well here," Edu told the Guardian. "If we’re not talking about patience with Mikel. It would be very unfair to him because what a year we have faced: three months without football matches, a lot of things changing in the club. "He started, stopped, and when he started to get an understanding of all the squad he stopped again. It would be really unfair to Mikel to say something about that because the year was so challenging for everyone, but even more for Mikel, who had just arrived at the club." "If we start to see problems internally – if the players don’t believe anymore, if the staff isn’t good enough – then I will say 'Hmm, I’m a bit worried'," Edu added. "But it’s such an unfair situation right now because the way I see things every day, everything’s right. "It's strange to say that because the results are not coming but I see properly the way Mikel is working. I want people to understand what we are doing. We are in the process to have a beautiful future."
