Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White, for a fee of around £50m. David Ornstein reports that Arsenal are moving closer to an agreement with Brighton.

The Gunners are offering £45m plus £5m in add-ons, but a deal is not far off now. In his article on The Athletic, Ornstein says Arsenal are progressing in negotiations.

Positive face-to-face talks have taken place and the parties involved share a strong relationship, so a consensus is likely. Ongoing negotiations are likely to focus on the £5m bonus payments and the structure of the fee.
