David Haye phoned Eddie Hearn to offer a boxer for June 1 fight after Miller fails drug tests

David Haye has phoned Anthony Joshua’s promoter regarding his June 1 fight. Joshua’s defence of IBF, WBA and WBO titles is in serious doubt after Jarell Miller failed a drug test. The British boxer is due to fight against Miller at Medison Square Garden in New York on June 1, however, Miller could now face a ban after testing positive for GW1516, a substance which increases aerobic power and endurance. Hearn stated that Joshua’s preparations for the fight continue, however, he will need to search for a replacement to fight with the Brit. So Haye called Hearn to put forward his boxer-Derek Chisora. “I talked to Eddie Hearn today and he said he has had pretty much every heavyweight in the top 10 inundating him,” Haye told Sky Sports News. “Everyone wants this mega payday. They know once they sign this contract they’re made for life. I believe Anthony Joshua needs an opponent who doesn’t get fazed by lights. An opponent who has got a history of challenging for world titles. For me, I got a call from Dereck Chisora this morning who has a fight on Saturday. Everyone wants this mega payday.
