David de Gea issues bold verdict on Manchester United newcomers Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane

David de Gea has talked about Manchester United new signings Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane. The Red Devils goalkeeper has been working closely with Tom Heaton, a free transfer arrival from Aston Villa, in the goalkeeping group during pre-season, while £72.9million man Jadon Sancho joined up at Carrington for the first time on Monday. Varane, meanwhile, is expected to complete his transfer to the Old Trafford from Real Madrid imminently. And De Gea is pleased with the business done, as he told the club website:
“It’s always a pleasure to welcome new faces and quality players to add to the group, it’s always a positive.   “We still have the odd player to join up with the group, but [I’m] delighted with the new signings.   “[I’m especially excited to welcome] Tom, the keeper, who I’m with a lot of more of the time.   “He’s a great bloke and a top keeper. He’s really going to bring a lot to the group and let’s hope it’s the same with the rest of the signings too.   “They have great quality and I reckon that it’ll be easy for them to settle in.”
