David de Gea drops hint on Manchester United future amid Dean Henderson competition

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has dropped a huge hint about his future. The Spaniard joined the club in the summer of 2011. De Gea made his 400th appearance for United in their draw with Southampton on Monday night. The 29-year-old has been linked with a move away over the last few years, but he has now admitted he is hoping to remain at Old Trafford. “I’m very, very proud to reach 400 games. It’s something amazing just to be part of this club. It’s something crazy… imagine to reach 400 games… it’s something very, very special for me and hopefully I can play another 400 games and just enjoy things day by day and enjoy being part of this club,” he told ManUtd.com. “I just want to keep playing and enjoying training and enjoying being with my team-mates and the staff and everyone. I just enjoy wearing the Manchester United shirt in every game and to play at Old Trafford is always special. I’m grateful to be here and hopefully I can be here for many years.” De Gea continued: “I just want to say thank you to everyone for their support from the first day I came here. It’s great to feel the support of everyone. We have the best fans in the world so it’s great to play for them. “Let’s keep going and keep fighting for the club and for the fans, and try to fight for trophies and something big for the pride of this club – let’s keep going.” Source: MEN
