Former Tottenham forward, Darren Bent has stated that Jose Mourinho could have trouble keeping the likes of Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius happy given the number of attacking options he has at his disposal.
Because Tottenham’s busy schedule, almost all of the attacking players in the squad other than Dele Alli have been handed plenty of minutes so far this season.
As Erik Lamela is recovering from an injury and Gareth Bale is starting two of Wales’ Nations League clashes in quick succession during the international break, Mourinho chose to start Steven Bergwijn against Man City and bought Moura off the bench for the final 20 minutes.
And Bent believes that it is only a matter of time before Bale gets his sharpness back and starts playing regularly.
The pundit told Football Insider: “That front three now, Bale’s only going to get better, surely, and with Kane and Son and Bale, you sort of fear for the likes of Lucas Moura.
“He must be looking and thinking: ‘Wow, it’s got even worse now for me.’
“He’ll still be coming on, he’ll still be contributing, for sure, and Vinicius, what will we see of him as well?”
