Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish
has spoken to Palace TV, after the club completed Odsonne Edouard's £14-million transfer deal on deadline day.
The Eagles chairman and part-owner also signed Michael Olise, Marc Guéhi, Joachim Andersen, Will Hughes and Conor Gallagher in this summer transfer window.
However, Parish admitted that there was one more deal he was willing to complete.
He revealed how Patrick Vieira has responded to the chariman's worries.
“I think there’s maybe one other thing that we might have liked to get done.
But as the manager quite rightly said when we couldn’t get that done: Let’s not get something else done for the sake of it, because we have good players here and we’ve got good players coming back," said Steve Parish.
The head coach comforted him, and Parish was surely pleased to hear those words.
It only shows how Vieira trusts and puts confidence in his squad and their abilities to fight.
